Johnny Bodman is the much-loved Lord Mayor Of Keynsham. He is a patriotic Keynshamite who is often seen sporting a plastic St George bowler hat and wheelbarrow. He is a true 'man-of-the-people' and holds court among his loyal subjects at many of the town's public houses each day. Johnny is widely tipped to be the next supreme ruler of BANES. Say 'Hello' to Johnny when you next see him.
Jubilee (The)

The Jubilee is a term used to describe a series of street parties which took place in Keynsham in 1977. The Jubilee was characterised by entire battalions of townsfolk eating crab paste sandwiches whilst sat on deck chairs at a pasting tables on the road. The Jubilee was repeated in 2002, though was less well-attended due to the advent of the Sony Playstation and Sky TV.
