Issue 6 Could 'Dis Be Cane Shum A Different View Of Keynsham April 2004
COULD 'DIS BE CANE SHUM - WEBCAM #6
Keynsham's clock tower - design award not pictured

The sixth in our series of exclusive Could 'Dis Be Cane Shum webcams. The camera is looking towards Keynsham centre from inside the bollard located near Bath Hill School. The clock tower shown here is a cardboard cut-out erected as a temporary replacement following the theft of the original in September 2003. The image updates approximately every 6 seconds. At night this page will beam footage from the previous day as our club book quality camera is incapable of filming at night. The Beeb Nat Hist unit we ain't.
Camera 5 can be found in Issue 5 by clicking here.

DID YOU KNOW ?
CARDBOARD CUT-OUTS have often been used to make people believe something is there when it's not, most famously when Churchill built a fake replica of France to fool invading Nazi forces.
FAMOUS FACT
THE OLD lady attempting to cross the road is in fact Britain's first security statue. The hi-tech camera located in her head can identify would-be ram-raiders from a mile away, even in thick fog at night.
ON THIS SPOT...
ONE OF Keynsham's many ill-fated markets used to stand on wasteland here, at the site of the 'haunted' Court House. The area is now occupied by the woefully-designed retirement homes.
